Zuri Wanjiku
Biography

Zuri Wanjiku is a multidisciplinary artist from Nairobi, Kenya, whose paintings and mixed-media works explore beauty in simplicity. She draws inspiration from the landscapes of East Africa — the soft earth tones, coastal light, and the daily rhythm of community life.

Deeply influenced by Swahili minimalism and Kikuyu storytelling, Zuri’s art is a meditation on tenderness and balance. Her use of natural dyes, woven textures, and organic pigments creates a sense of warmth and belonging.

She often describes her style as “the poetry of ordinary moments”, celebrating the grace found in faces, fabrics, and silence. Through this lens, her art becomes both intimate and universal — an offering of calm to a noisy world.

Exhibited in Nairobi, Mombasa, and Dar es Salaam, her works have been praised for their natural harmony, emotional honesty, and subtle radiance.
