Amina Okoye is a multidisciplinary artist from Lagos, Nigeria. Her work is deeply rooted in the fusion of Hausa and Igbo traditions, exploring how cultural duality can inspire unity and transformation. Through a combination of painting, sculpture, and digital layering, she creates textured worlds that celebrate resilience, faith, and womanhood.

Amina’s color palette — rich in saffron, indigo, and terracotta — draws from the textiles and marketplaces of West Africa. Her compositions often feature layered symbols representing protection, honesty, and the spiritual architecture of everyday life.

Inspired by her grandmother’s storytelling and her own experiences as a modern African woman, Okoye’s art merges ancestral rhythm with contemporary emotion. She calls her approach “Visual Harmony” — a dialogue between tradition and the present.

Her exhibitions across Lagos, Accra, and Dakar have positioned her as a rising voice in West African contemporary art, known for transforming cultural memory into living color.
